A great festive story of ones mans awakening from the ills of heartless capitalism.

And the blokes who flew those gave their lives so we could have Capitalism instead of Nazism and Communism.... and let's face it when you get right down to it... isn't socialism a watered down version of Communism....

Lost count of the number of times I’ve nearly driven in to the Witham at Tattershall bridge as BBMF has done an impromptu fly past.
Or a few years back at Farndon on the Trent when the Lancaster banked round.
The sight and the sound is awesome.

Had a Spit go over my house this afternoon.... I live not far from North Weald and they have their own flight of WarBirds... the roar of a Merlin is awesome... once heard never forgotten

In the Book "The Dambusters" by Paul Brickhill a Lancaster at full throttle (from inside the aeroplane) is described as a factory full of boiler makers on overtime... I love anything with a Merlin on it

@Arry I have a friend who lives along Queens Road in North Weald who's back garden is towards the air field and has a massive flat roofed shed in his garden. So we got to see all the air shows for free . Fantastic noise.

Lived in Ladyfields near the library until I moved to Hampshire.

Amazing how small this world is now.
I used to make the bulb fittings that they put in the lamps. ☺ and had to walk through all them girls and women to deliver them next door😉😏
