Hooked bait for pole fishing

When pole fishing do you prefer hair-rigged or hooked bait ???

I think prawns work well on a hair rig whilst pole fishing.

Depends on how your fishing. ie the depth. I'm tending to use more and more hair
Rigs myself.

Always hooked, unless I'm fishing pellet shallow then I'll use a bait band on a hair.
