Any tips on how to stop them blowing away when you open your side drawers?

Buy a double sided magnetic hook box so your packets don't even get to the bank side.

Or if you must use packets, when you've got your hook out of the packet, put a weight on top such as a feeder. If the wind is that bad, slip the packet into a pocket.

I have one of those somewhere, it's finding the damned thing. It's full of hooks as well. It got lost when 'wifey' put it in a safe place. :(
Mine stays in my fishing gear...... no danger of forgetting it then!

I've got 2 of the magnetic boxes. They're kept in what I've labelled a rig box. Everything I need to make up rigs and tie hooks all in the same place. I never take loose hooks to the bank with me. All mine are tied to hooklengths at home then stored on spools in my seatbox. As soon as I get low on a particular pattern or size of hook it's time to get the rig box out and a few hours of tying.
