It was a light aircraft, they often have ambient air drawn around the exhaust system and then the heated air is fed into the cockpit to heat it. Either that or a leaking fire bulkhead seal, as well as a leaking exhaust.

Don’t think he was insured, that’s why Cardiff haven’t paid the transfer fee. Don’t think there is any conspiracy, just a tragic set of circumstances. When things are unbelievable, like putting £15m on a £10k plane, with a pilot not licensed to fly at night, it’s only natural to think something isn’t right. The reality is it’s just a terrible set of bad circumstances on the run.
