Hi I am returning to fishing after a long absence 25yrs+.
Getting kit together for the start of the season.
Something I did buy new is a a pair of Mitchell 8000s.
Holy Cow they are flipping massive.
Now they only come with one spool and it seems difficult to find spare ones. ?
So if I load them up with line what BS would be sensible for all round Carp fishing.
Have a pair of 12ft Shakespeare 2.75 TC rods.
Sticking to mono for the time being and have some bulk spools of Daiwa Hyper Sensor.
10. 15 and 20lb.
Figure the 20lb is too heavy and the 10lb a little light ?
I also bought a pair of Neoteric 6000s with spare spools but I want to load them up with line for river fishing for Barbel/Chub.
Have a pair of 1.75 TC rods with Avon and quivertip top sections with that in mind.
Questions about that will be coming.
I last fished in a world of 80s style match fishing and John Wilson 1.25 TC Avons for the big stuff.
