Brilliant reels, l have the 3000 and 4000 models, the later l bought a double handle for it. The 4000 in the last year has been the reel l tend to use even though l have got more expensive reels, its nice and light and l havent had a single issue with it, l was very temped to buy another two just to have as spares, but l have talked myself out of it, if you buy them and decide you dont like them for whatever reason you wont have a problem selling them on, l also have the cadence wand and the 10ft #2 feeder rod.

They’re decent reels but small. The 4000 size CS8 is the equivalent size of a 3000 Daiwa

I've got two CS8 3000's....they're lovely little reels. I use them on my Cadence Wand and 13' Match Rod.
They're well worth getting...especially on the BOGOF offer....but be quick as it finishes at midnight tonight!

I was tempted by the reels but disappointed they don’t do rear drag versions. I just think they look better on typically long coarse rods and are easier to adjust on the job. Front drag reels just fit better on sub 10ft spinning rods for me.

reels arrived this morning, glad i did some research first as the 4000 size i ordered looks n feels like a 3000 ( which i was after ) . reel feels ultra smooth and very light in the hand ,on first impression my only gripe is that groundbait etc might easily get through the holes on the spool? we'll soon find out .

Kniteforce......don't worry, it's a great reel.
I've got quite a few 3000 and 4000 sizes.....both are excellent.
I use the 3000's on my Cadence Wand, 11' #1 Feeder and 11' #1 & #2 Match rods. The 4000's are used on 12' #2 Feeder, 13' #3 Feeder, 14', 15'and 18' Match rods :D

What sort of chuck you getting out of the 4000 on a 12ft rod? I was considering the much bigger Daiwa 4012 TDR or the 5000 N'Zon to pair with whichever 12ft feeder rod I end up getting.

I don't use braid so I don't go for great distances. I normally chuck about 40 to 45 metres using the 12ft.

Just to give you a comparison, I was using my Cadence Wand with the lightest 0.25oz tip and a 20g feeder filled with bait, along with the CS8 3000....and with not much more than a lazy lob of a cast, it was hitting the clip hard at 20 metres.
If you want to go 70m or so regularly, then look at the new 5000 size.

I have the CS10's and they're a great reel. I bought the 4000 size and use them for all of my river float work, commercial pellet waggler and short feeder work. As stated the 4000 is the same size as the Daiwa 3012 series.
