I loved Trumpton when I was small but cant believe that for 45 years I've been getting the roll call wrong. I also thought it was Hugh, Pugh etc but it wasn't it was Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble and Grub. Apparently Pugh and Pugh were meant to be twins!!

John Noakes and now Brian Cant, both a huge part of my growing up.

RIP Brian, lovely calm, reassuring voice. Back in the days when presenters took seriously the responsibility that they were broadcasting to children.

If Andy Pandy, Looby Loo or Teddy pass on then its a bad week. God forbid something should happen to Spotty Dog.

Brian Cant was what kids tv was about. He will be missed by those of a certain age.
