well i am here today and not locked up in the local nick ?
I fished outside trent end again yesterday ,got there at 6 ,at 10 a twit comes up and says that the canoe club are having a race ? ok
Said thats ok you have 170 miles of river ?
No we are coming through here
THEY CAME THROUGH THAT CLOSE THEY HIT MY KEEPNET WITH THEIR OARS,AND IT WAS PARRALELL WITH THE BANK ATATCHED TO MY PLATFORM,I WAS FISHING A 13FT ROD AND 2 FEET OF THAT WAS BEHIND ME
So they thought cos i was on my own i wouldnt say owt ........................wrong,
So next time i fish there [if] at weekend we will be mob handed and a boat will be moored at 90 degrees to the bank ,blocking their way altogether ,why do dipsticks in boats think they have automatic right of way ?

When you come over trent bridge toward the city ground stay in the inside lane ,turn sharp left and head between the trent end and the river, you can drive under trent end its public access, park either before trent end between the yellow bollards or after you can park along the road but NOT UNDER THE TRENT END as the PITCH diner is open everyday and no walking

I was fishing with a lure 3 years ago at Long Higgin, just downstream from there.. I hooked up with a canoe & held him back with 45lb braid! The pratt had no idea what had happened, he just ploughed through me. I had to pull for a break to detach from him, i suggested he get out on the bankside so i could unhook him but he was too arrogant & tried to paddle off. The rowers i have found to be more considerate

There are plenty of those fishing the Trent... I fished at our club stretch at Colwick on Sunday, the rocky island below the sluice gates is showing again & there were a dozen of the black devils roosting on the rocks!

I noticed that the Trent alongside the Nottingham Kayak club, where some of you have been fishing now has 'NO FISHING' in red & white letters painted on the concrete step at the waters edge.Nothing written at the back of the Trent End or the rowing club next to the Grantham canal lock as yet

Mr barry we dont fish "outside" of the trent end always stick to fishing between the first and last pillar, but thats not good enough for the "boaters" they seem to think they own the river and can do as they please,i think the "writing" is so people dont fish where they get into the boats but they dont own the frontage as far as i amm aware
