For the first time in about 7 years, I'm going to be taking pellets , but these are purely for the days I plan to fish for the barbel on the Ijssel As I have said before, the pellet approach for the bream just does not seem to work up North, maybe it's just because they don't see much of it. I just wouldn't have the confidence in catching as much if I didn't have a boat load of casters & worms with me
Only another few more days and I'll be on that boat, can't wait now |

Hi all,
Well I am right up for it now!!!!!!!!
Last night tried my best to thin all me kit down (weight wise) but as much as I took out, there was other also stuff to go in hehehehe you cant win
Out came the 16mtr end section + Half section of pole, 2 x long 4s, 14mtr half butt, 7 x top kits, pellet wag rod, ready rod bag, 32 x pole rigs on winders even 2 x Rive Trays off box
However in went an extra feeder rod, 8 x bags of additive crumb, bag full of heavier than normal feeders upto 80 gram and some lead....
So what I have gained I dont think its that much overall
It did get me in the mood though for Dekoerberg next week on Thursday night ferry
How on earth do you travel proper Light unless your going to sit there for 8 days fishing purely a feeder on a Korum or camp chair with no brolley or nets etc??? |

David
Weather anything over 5 days I never believe as predicting the weather even over this period is hard enough.......
Bite less we don't set off till about 5 so it's always around 8 to 8.30 when we get there and get straight on ferry usually.
We have the meal in restaurant as well.
How many of you are there?
See you at the bar
