I'm fishing a popular carp lake and it seems that the biggest tench are falling to the carp fishermen using boilies. And to them the tench are a nuisance
Rather than asking them what they are using (which they might not like!) can anyone suggest good boilies for Tench?

| I've had a fair few tench on 10mm Ringers White Shellfish in my last couple of outings, but usually the sweet fruity flavours such as tutti fruity are a good shout. |

If the tench are such a nuisance though, I don't see any harm in asking them. They'll be glad to have someone take them off their hands won't they? |

| The tench I have managed to pick from my local were caught on either marmite boilies or molasses soaked nut and white choc boilies. |

| l asked one of the carp lads on my local lake what he was getting his nuisance fish on, ie big tench and big bream, and because he knows l dont have any interest in going for the carp in the lake he ended up giving a load of boilies that he was using and told me what his main ingrediants were for his spod mix. not a bad bunch of lads most of them :) |

| Just done a bit of research. Seems Esterberry is hailed as an awesome tench bait? Am I just too young to remember this bait? Seems to be a long forgotten quality product. |

Never even heard of Esterberry - but it sounds like a go-er!
Thanks for all of your tips guys. |

| Best bait for tench is plastic yellow sweetcorn. Have had so many of them on it when carp fishing. |
