My favourite rig to use on commercials has to be the shotgun feeder. It's a great bit of kit to use it is spring loaded to put pellets just in front of your bait. 5* get on the shotgun feeder

Not sure I'd agree with that - it depends on how sloped the far shelf is. I've tried the shotgun feeder a few times, and it does roll down the steeper slopes. Prefer a flat-leaded feeder bottom or a feeder that isn't cylindrical for this.

I also prefer a flat bottom to use for this method

I found that you have to get the contents just right otherwise it either won't eject them or ejects them too soon, sometimes on the cast. Gave up in the end.

The way I do it is a minute soaking for each mil of pellet for example
4mm pellet - 4minutes
3mm - 3minutes
30mm (will never use but for example) - 30minutes

I've been toying with the idea of trying the shotgun - will give a go on the strength of this review.

I love using the shotgun feeders.
Last season I had a few wins with my club Watchet AC using them.
I find it easier to load than using a method feeder but it still puts your hookbait amongst the feed.

Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.

Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Yeah that's fair. My venue has a good shoulder on it so no problem
