Victoria Products League - Round ten was fished by seventeen anglers on the Tidal Exe in ideal weather conditions for most of the match. The quality of fishing was split between the two fields as usual with the better fishing being in the first. The second section was a struggle with most anglers finding a limited window of opportunity before the fish moved on but Duncan Hill cemented his league position with another 10 point section win. Fishing on peg 24 on the groines his catch of 6lb 9oz included a bonus mullet and a 1.5lb chub the caught on the last cast of the match. In a close run contest between three pegs in the first field Dave Walton came out on top from peg 8. His catch of 16lb 10oz came mostly on the waggler and was enough to win the match by 10oz and take 10 league points. Keith Carpenter started on the feeder but caught the majority of his fish on the avon float from peg 6 - his catch of 16lb took the second place prize and 8 league points. Completing the frame fishing his first match in over a year was Mark Coombes, fishing the stick float on peg 1 he totalled 14lb 10oz. Paul Russel continued his good river form taking the section by default with 12lb 9oz from peg 5.
