have decided to forget the canal this friday and have another do at the roach on Maceys in Bury - see if i can improve my rig/catch rate after the match on there last sunday when i missed about 95% of bites
Glutton for punishment maybe - but i reckon if i can get it right than i could do 6lb+ an hour of silvers
Have persuaged Dandan to come too
Everyone else welcome
Will be fishing from 2pm til evening

i might for a while, but i really want to see if i can improve my fish to bite ratio while fishing shallow
was really annoying
i had the same problem in our previous match on sainsburys pond

there were def a few good ideas frm your post abt it,id def go with a smaller more delicate float,a shorter line frm pole tip to float and a smaller hook,i also read in a fishing mag once for catching f1s the angler strung out 2 or 3 shot on the line frm the pole tip to your float to help keep it nice and tight when your trying to hit them shy bites
