My mate Steve Haywood who is sponsored by middy has one and rates it very highly and has been using one for 4 months, best balanced pole at 14 meters he has handled and very stiff. He does say there are supply problems though, due to the popularity. If I had a spare £1200 I would have one on his recommendation, if he says they are good, they are good, he is no tackle tart.

Ive had hold of the torny x n the airity and the aspire at 13m and i would have chosen the match this 6 plus over them without a shadow of a doubt because i felt it was a much better pole but that is just my personal opinion and every1's will be different but for £1200 when people are saying its better than the pro x n airity its got to be worth a punt also ive got a middy mx10 and thats a cracking pole for the money but the sections from that are interchangable with the xk 55 so even if ther is a bit of a wait for a section say it wnt stop me fishing ill be putting a review up as soon as i get out n use is

Saw both the xp35 and xk55 at 13m length today. Fairly impressive, both of them. They were on angled racks. Doesn't obviously give an exact representation, but alongside was the maver match this 1-5 (and you could see the 5 was stiffer than the 4, 4 stiffer than the 3..etc) and the xk55 was stiffer than all of them. The finish is quite nice - similar to shimano's I thought (at least, similar to my beastmaster/exage).
The xp35 at 13m was close to the xk55, which could make that a bit of a bargain too. |

I watched (Middy sponsored) Craig Butterfiled fishing a match last Sunday with this pole. Due largely to the cold wind that was blowing, the carp weren't feeding on his side of the lake, but he had pinned a shoal of ide tight to the bank of the island opposite his peg, and he gave a masterclass performance in catching them. I was amazed how stiff the pole was at its full 16 m, and unsurprisingly Craig seemed to have no problems with it even in the gusty wind. I asked him once before what he thought of it and his reply was essentially, "It may or may not be the best pole in the world, but it IS the best pole in the world at this price."

Ive been and picked mine up today initial thought after getting it home and unwrapping it are that it is fantastic!!!!! And worth every single penny and more i wouldnt be dissapointed with it if id have spent £2000+ on it all i can say is thanks to jmclincoln for directing to it and to a very nice tackle shop owner in the process thanks alot pal much appreciated. On a final note i really feel sorry for the people who are waiting for them to come in because middy have now said its going to be may time
