any decent places on the wear to fish im new to this and need advice from anyone who has any cheers

You'll get a better response if you put this in the Where's Fishing section mate. Most of the river is club water. These have a lot of it http://www.durhamanglers.co.uk/
I think Ferryhill have some aswell. There are free stretches in the city centre. Ferens Park is free. I think the County Hotel is aswell.

FDAC have alot of water above durham. its good with plenty of dace, chub, trout and some barbel. around durham itself youre looking at dcac, again chub and dace but more gudgeon a few roach, barbel and other surprises.
