hi all
we had a cracking weekend
we held a charity match over the weekend with all proceeds going to the marie curie cancer charity and raised nine hundred and fourty pounds, the charity match was on the sat
on sunday the regular open day the raffle was drawn and the cheque present to stan crowley the fundraiser organisor
the sunday open was also a cracking day with three lakes taken up and 56 pegs entered
top rod overal was S Parmerick with 63lb 1oz off the match lake peg 18
it was pre decided the top weights from each lake would take 2nd and 3rd prize money
2nd was Richard Candy 51lb 5oz off peg 11 old canal
3rd was M Bromsgrove 46lb 10oz off peg 34 new canal
and the 4th prize winner would then be the second overal weight which came off the match lake
4th Geoff Walker 62lb 8oz off peg 14
in total there were 8 bags over 50lb and 14 bags over 40lbs
and an amazing day was had by all Stan Crowley who helped arranged the charity event was amazed at the result as he was only expecting about four hundred pounds tops and he recieved the cheque on behalf of the charity
