All the Wigan anglers out there could you list all the good fisheries in and around Wigan other than Orrel Resevoir Spring View Fisheries Pendle View Black Waters and Pollys plz[b]

They used to have one at hindley near the railway station Long Pond i think,when we were members had some nice tench in it.

Have you tried Pincroft at Adlington ? Its a right turn off the A6 just as your entering adlington from blackrod. 3 lodges just behind pincroft industrial estate. Some nice carp, loads of f1's.

Also Charuty Farm at Wrightington - 4 lodges with carp to 15lb and lots of tench.

Both a fiver a ticket.

The Figure 8 or Scotts Lane pond I think it was called accross from the Wigan Reporter Building used to be pretty good. Although Im not sure if its still there or not after the new ground went up.

Also, The Hermitage Standish/Shevington. Hard to get to but well worth it with big tench, carp and bream.

Fan Lodge used to be good for skimmers, nice tench and really nice perch.

These maybe way out of date as I haven't been in the country for a few years.

They USED to have Wrightington Fish Pond too but Im not sure if they lost it or not due to quibbling abou fixing the damn wall.

Loads of fisheries around Appley Bridge,Wrightington area.

Fir Tree(nook rd),Beacon View (Back Lane).Wrightington Fisheries (Mossy Lea Rd).
The Catteries & Ocherton.Lakeside,(2nd left after Charity Farm Fishery).Heskin Hall.
All pretty good.

heapy 1 and 2,just put loads of carp in heapy 2,some nice carp comming out of no 1 at the moment,heapy 3 not that good for coursing more for pike but as been hammerd the last few months loads of small jacks.big ens seem to be missing mebe the,ve been eaten hehehe,allso heapy no 6 near cricket ground,some good bream and a few tench,plenty of roach and perch to be had in here,allso some realy big pike ,last 1 caught this year was 26lb,no 6.coops57

fir tree flash in leigh is fishing pretty well, lots of tench coming out in the sunday matches, nearly 50lb of tench won the other week, 20+ fish to around 5lb.
hewllitt pit in westhoughton is worth trying
