anywhere along the birmingham fazely canal
is a good bet . I would suggest you buy a baa day ticket and fish
either by the dog and doublet pub by kingsbury water park or opposite drayton manor park. also the stretches back of kingsbury road by the truckers cafe is good , but im not sure who`s water that is . i think its club owned .

also the grand union is good by the black boy knowle .

good luck
steve

Hi Fert what part of Birminham are you looking at, Their are quality canals throughout the whole area. and with some 200 miles to search from it will take you a while to fish all the stretches.
Fazeley canal (east birmingham ish) offers ery good fishing with mixed bags on squatt and pinkie, or bread punch
stratford canal (south birmingham) fishing well most stretces
Grand union canal from the centre of Birmingham and running down south through milton keynes. this offers very good fishing along all stretches, Local club matche weights are in access of 7lbs
staffs -worcester canal has lots of 2lb + chub but you will need to find the right bushes that they are known to live under.
Soho loop still fishes well.
birmingham canal so so
then you have all of the black country canals to have a look at.

BEWARE WHEN FISHING ON THE CANALS AROUND BIRMINGHAM THUGS ARE EVERYWERE AND NEVER GO ALONE.
