I am fishing a match at tirley court in late feb. Never fished there before, does anyone have any tips?

yes mate, its all carp. You need a draw on the high bank - 6ft of water.

You need to feed 8mm hard pellet and fish shallow. If you fish less than 8mm pellet you will be bitted out by tiny carp. You also need dog buiscuit for the surface.

Aside of that fish a whip very close in on the maggot shallow and really go for the small carp you wont win but you may frame. A gut I know came 3rd in a match off a bad draw doing that.

Dont fish mag, corn or maet or small baits as the tiddlers will give you a nightmare.

Thats how it was fishing late October last year - havent been there recently.

200lb plus bags are on the cards for someone on the fish doing it right.

Dont muck about with light gear either - this is carp hauling country. Anymore you need pm me

Thats for summer,We do up to 290lb in 2.5 hour evening matches. But its 40 - 100 that wins in winter, so you don't mind catching those small fish along with the odd lump.
