Family disputes forced me to take a day off work, and I had to look after my 8 year old grandson for the morning. To keep him occupied I decided to take him fishing for a couple of hours. His first ever trip.
White Springs is only a 10 minute drive from my house so armed with a tub of pellets, half a pint of maggots and, 5 metres of pole with 6 elastic we ventured to the new match lake on the complex.
His first fish, a perch of no more than half an ounce. That took me back 50 years to one of my first fish. Trusty old perch.
Ryan enjoyed his first trip and after 2 hours fishing, between the constant food and drink breaks had a net of about 5 lb of fish.
Ryans first carp
And a not so good photo of his net of fish
And he wants to go again, apparently it is better than play station!!!!!!
Geoff I try to please one person every day. Today wasn't your day and after checking my diary it doesn't look too good for you tomorrow either.
