I am currently studying at Worcester University and HAVE to get fishing this year!

With being at Uni transport is a real issue when i try and get fishing next year, wondered if anyone could help me in terms of places that i could fish near the uni bearing in mind that i will need to walk etc.

Lakes, the Severn....not really fussed!

Cheers.

Hi jmegram, welcome to the forum.

You could try Diglis weir. It's salmon fishing only until the first week in October, but after this you can obtain coarse day tickets from Alan's Tackle in St John's.
Some excellent barbel and chub fishing; tackle shop and venue both within easy walking distance of the city centre.

Hope this helps.

Cheers! Castaline.

a Birmingham ticket costs just £32, runs jan-dec, but is great value......over 200 miles of river/canal fishing and a few ponds too.
The severn, teme, warks avon, a couple canals etc.....

Would love to say I'm a 'top class all-rounder'......but I would not be telling the whole truth!!
