does anyone know why it is when i download a program a search engine called babylone downloads it self and then becomes the search engine , i have to remove it from computer delete google and then download again this has happened on 3 different programs that i have downloaded any thing i can do
hi delk, before you install any software, always read the terms and conditions beforehand. some freeware will install third party stuff as default and unless you uncheck it upon install it will continue to do it's thing and you might find you are plagued with their toolbars etc. best regards
Delk just be careful when installing things,usually you can opt out of installing these when you uncheck the boxes,we easily get into the habit of clicking next next next etc without realising what each one is lol,incidentally you can remove babylon toolbar in contreol panel in the uninstall programs menu and in internet explorer etc you can just reset your homepage to whatever you want etc.

always do a selective install of any application,never just hit the button that says recommended as that gives you all the dung thats bundled with the software.if you look in your add and remove programs section (windows xp) or ununstall or change a program (windows 7 and vista) you can safely remove any unwanted toolbars there.
