I,m off to the Specimen Lake for the first time this Friday. I've tried to get info by phoning the site but all I got was some lad who gave unhelpful monosyllabic answers. If anyone can answer any of the questions below, I will be very grateful!

Where's the best location to feeder fish for bream at present? Are keepnets allowed? Are you allowed to use your own feed pellets on the Specimen Lake? Is there a limit to the amount of groundbait that you can use on the Specimen Lake?

Cheers.

Well, I went to Larford today and it was absolutely superb! Fished feeder for a while but just cranked in a few bits. Went on the pole, as I had fed at 8m. Used 6 elastic as I was after bream. Caught loads of skimmers, a couple of big slabs, perch and roach. Got hijacked a few times by big carp so stepped up and landed a 15.5 lb'er!! Later in the afternoon I was catching loads of skimmers up to 2lb from midwater.

I'll definitely be going again.

A really superb fishery in sceneic surroundings.

I believe that Match Pool is full of amall carp and pole is king. If you wish to use pellet on this pool you have to buy them on-site.
