Then fish maggot, pinkie or squatt over the top. Try all three as it is the fish that will decide which is best on the day. Fish anything from four inches off the bottom to nine inches overdepth.

Normally a method for the top or bottom of the far shelf, fish squatt on the hook at dead depth or just off bottom to start and fire a few squatt over the top with a catapult. This has to be regular feeding - every 30 seconds. The idea is to keep a constant fall of bait through the water. Start at the bottom of the shelf and if you stop catching switch to the top. Don't worry about feeding the top of the shelf specifically, the few squatt that overshoot will do that. Go up to four inches overdepth if you are not catching or if you are catching gudgeon and not roach.

Trickling in squatt or pinkie by your keepnet is usually a back up plan for the occasional perch. They seem to be aggressive enough to feed that close.

Can you explain please...

<subject>The Club House</subject>

There are 24 replies, with the last one on Today at 05:24:02 AM by Trogg

quote :

Trogg applied to be a stunt man for Chuck Norris - Chuck offered to be Trogg's lol

what are they up to?

<subject>The Club House</subject>

There are 6 replies, with the last one on Today at 02:24:45 AM by Philocalist

quote :

our MP for Stafford is great..............he knows all about the heart of the community, his finger is on the pulse, he understands the wants and needs of the locals and he lives.......erm in Crewe???

Couple of years back we had a councillor somewhere up here - think it was on North Tyneside? - who lived in the bloody Bahamas, and just dropped in for a while now and then to do the absolute minimum neccesary ti maintain his position!

wow actually spending money can work !!

<subject>The Club House</subject>

There are 2 replies, with the last one on Today at 02:08:08 AM by SteveH

Even the IMF say that governments, including ours, that are slavishly following 'austerity economics' based on political ideology rather than sound financial and economic science will place their countries economies into a downward spiral that some may never fully recover from. Once again The UK was given as an example of an economy that is facing that risk right now.

Mainstream economists all argue that targetted spending on infrastructure, manufacturing capacity and 'welfare' is a way to boost the economy and give big business and consumers the confidence they need to invest and spend respectively. A reccession period is also the best time to build export opportunities which as growth picks up further boosts and strengthens an economy. Unfortunately, Joe Public on the whole has swallowed the propoganda and scapegoating that makes austerity measures eem the 'reasonable' approach, (so long as it's not them bearing the brunt of it).

swim depths

<subject>Fishing Talk</subject>

There are 15 replies, with the last one on Today at 02:00:31 AM by Yorkieboy70

Think this post got lost in the post but I used to have step ladders that were 10 metres high so if I could find the tw*t that nicked em you could easily fish that depth.

YB

Its that time of year again on here...

<subject>The Club House</subject>

There are 23 replies, with the last one on Today at 01:53:12 AM by Peter

quote :

LIKE

Gutted!

<subject>The Club House</subject>

There are 17 replies, with the last one on Today at 01:35:54 AM by Yorkieboy70

ED

Who has told you that your insurance will increase, if your insurance is due then yes it will increase while matter is resolved but you can then claim the increase back.
