FISHERIES & ANGLING HIGHLIGHTS
Visiting anglers to Ireland are encouraged to disinfect keepnets and other landing nets and fishing gear etc. There has been a relaxation of F&M Disease controls in relation to Angling. Worms maggots/castors and all ground baits can now be brought from the UK for fishing purposes. However we do encourage such bait to be sourced from within the state where possible. Worms must not be packed in soil or vegetable material. For further information please follow this link: http://www.shannon-fishery-board.ie/footandmouth.htm
