Wooden Spoon Charity Fishing day
21 September 2012
Join us for a fabulous day of fly fishing in aid of Wooden Spoon, on Friday 21st September.Wooden Spoon is a children's charity dedicated to helping underprivileged children and young people all over the UK and British Isles, through funds we raise for community projects.
Rugby celebrities and Wooden Spoon sporting ambassadors attending this year include Phil Vickery, former England captain and a member of England's World Cup winning squad in 2003, and Richard Hill,rugby union coach and former English international rugby player.
Owned by pop legend Roger Daltrey of The Who, the 26 acre site provides four spring-fed lakes, where participants of all abilities can fish together with celebrities from the world of Rugby and take part in various competitions, including the heaviest catch and the Spoon tiddler of the day.Lake Down has 4 well stocked lakes and fishing will include all lakes at a rotation basis.
The cost is £85 per person or £170 for a team of two. A team partner will be arranged for individual entrants. Entry fees include bacon butties and tea/coffee in the morning,and 2 course lunch and drinks.4 fish to take home for each person. Instructors and rods will be provided if required.Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
