03/02/02 There are a few small pike showing on the Relief channel-up to 5-7lbs still no sign of the 'biggies' though. These smaller pike are being caught on legered deadbaits just off the shelf. Some pike are being found near the bridge at Tilney cum Islington (just off the High Road). A 19lb pike being caught twice in the last month. Still plenty of roach etc. near the bridge at Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdelen (Relief). Middle Level still not much of anything to be caught-there are'nt many anglers trying their luck here at the moment. Hopefully with the wind dying down now more will give it a try.

Hi all!! As of today (21/1/02) no great catches to report. The predators are still a little too shy to come out and play on both waters. There are plenty of roach to be caught at the bridge at Wiggenhall St. Mary Magdelen, they seem to prefer seed based baits at the moment with wheat being the favourite fished on waggler or the pole. The car park at Peter's Bridge on the Middle Level should have been recovered today hopefully alleviating the mud problem. I hope to see more anglers at this stretch now.
